Born and raised in the United States, Wilson earned his degree from top-ranked MIT in mathematical economics. For over a decade, he has been an accomplished math teacher in North America and Asia. Wilson owns a proven track record of success in wide-ranging high school and middle school math curriculums: Common Core math, AP Calculus, Precalculus, Geometry, Algebra, IB mathematics, ACT/SSAT/HSPT/SAT math, and more.
Wilson creates individualized programs for his students to help them feel more confident in math and raise their scores. He focuses on students understanding the concepts of math, which promote long-term learning and retention. (Rote memorization of formulas hinders the type of flexible problem-solving necessary for math.) Finally, Wilson finds it important to stay current with the latest information on effective math teaching. For example, to support his calculus teaching, he serves as an official AP Grader/Rater for the international AP Calculus Exam Scoring Session held annually in America.
